We became involved with this large back land site in Highgate after the client has endured 20 years of planning attempts to develop it. After analysing the planning history, we understood the constraints and why the previous attempts had failed.

Our design for a new 6000sqft house was approved by Haringey Council on the first attempt.

The contemporary design which included sunken courtyards and a swimming pool followed the footprints of an area of hardstanding and garages, leaving the surrounding green space and mature trees untouched to become a private garden for the house.
